Chinchwad: Couple assaulted after questioning man who was giving spoilers during movie screening

“The complainant, his wife and her sister were at the screening of the movie. Seated behind them were the accused couple and their toddler son. The accused was giving spoilers by explaining the storyline to his wife. To this, the complainant said to him “Sir. please do not tell the story in advance”. Later, during the interval of the film, the accused man spoke arrogantly about the complainant. When the complainant looked back, the accused man got agitated, held the complainant by his collar and started punching and kicking the complainant. He kicked the complainant on the shoulder, face and abdomen.” an officer from Chinchwad police station said.

‘When the complainant’s wife tried to intervene, the accused and his wife assaulted and verbally abused her. The complainant who sustained injuries on face, hand and abdomen, was admitted to a hospital in Nigdi. On Sunday, an FIR was registered. We arrested the accused couple. They were remanded to judicial custody by the court.” said the officer.
