		The Central Railway (CR) has earned Rs 150.81 crore through scrap sales under the ‘Zero-Scrap’ mission during the current fiscal year — from April 1 to August 1 — marking a remarkable increase of 37.10 per cent, compared to the Railway Board’s pro-rata target till August. This marks the highest percentage increase over the proportionate sale target from April to August — ever attained by the Central Railway.

The Central Railway has taken the responsibility to achieve a scrap-free status across all its divisions and depots through the ‘Zero Scrap’ mission, while surpassing the Railway Board’s target of Rs 300 crore for the fiscal year 2023-24.
