Sanatan Sanstha member Vikram Bhave, who was convicted in the 2008 Gadkari Rangayatan auditorium blast case in Thane,is in Pune for the release of his book,Malegaon Sphotamagil Adrushya Hath (Invisible hands behind Malegaon blast),which he has penned three months after being released on bail. Speaking to The Sunday Express,Bhave said the book highlighted the doubts in the investigation done by the police in the Malegaon blasts of 2006 and 2008. Bhave has spent nearly five years in jail. A trial court had awarded 10 years imprisonment to him and his aide Ramesh Gadkari in the Thane blast case. The duo moved the Bombay High Court against the conviction and the court granted them bail in May 2013. Bhave said he was lodged in Anda Cell of Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai and later at Taloja jail along with the Hindu suspects (including Abhinav Bharat members) arrested for the 2008 Malegaon blasts and the Muslims charged in the 2006 Malegaon blasts case. Bhave said he used to regularly interact with these suspects and felt that both the Hindus and the Muslims arrested for the bomb blasts were innocent. So,after being released from jail on May 28,2013,I started studying the chargesheets, writ petitions and other documents in the two blasts with the help of lawyers, he said. I was convinced there was something wrong with the ongoing investigation and so thought of writing a book about it. Being a convict,I confirmed from my lawyers whether I am allowed to write such a book. Also,I got the content checked by lawyers before publishing the book, said Bhave. Interestingly,Bhave said,he was happy with the investigation carried out by the National Investigation Agency (NIA),pointing out that the Muslims arrested in the 2006 Malegaon blast case were not involved in it. I have been with Muslim suspects in jail. They are good people.I just hope justice is also done with the Hindu suspects in the 2008 Malegaon blast case, he added. When asked how he managed to write the book in such a short period,Bhave said it happened due to Ishwari prerna (inspiration from God). I am not a regular writer. This is my first book. After coming out of jail,I spent two months studying the bomb blast documents. And then, within one month,I could finish writing the book only because God wanted it to happen, he said. The 112-page book carries chapters on Sadhvi Pragya,Lt Col Prasad Purohit,Sudhakar Chaturvedi and others arrested for the 2008 Malegaon blast case. The book has two chapters on the Muslim suspects arrested for the 2006 blasts. It ends with a hint at invisible political hands behind the probe. The book is being published by Himani Savarkar, president of Abhinav Bharat. Dhananjay Desai, president of Hindurashtra Sena, has been invited as key speaker at the book release ceremony organised by Pune Nagar Hindu Sabha,at a hall in Karve Nagar area of Pune on Sunday evening. We will publish 10,000 copies of this book initially. The book not only speaks about the probe against Abhinav Bharat members, but also against the Muslims held for the 2006 blasts. There is a conspiracy to defame the Hindutva movement in the country by likening it with terrorism, said Savarkar. Meanwhile,Bhave said he continued to be a Sanatan sadhak. I stay in Sanatan Sanstha ashram at Panvel, he said. Bhave did not comment on the Thane blast as the matter is sub judice.
