Bank of Maharashtra celebrates 78th Foundation Day

The Bank of Maharashtra celebrated its 78th Foundation Day at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch on Sunday.

The Bank of Maharashtra celebrated its 78th Foundation Day at Ganesh Kala Krida Manch on Sunday. The function commenced with a video of bank’s 77-year journey.

Narrating the bank’s progress since its inception on September 16,1934,CMD Narendra Singh said the bank has crossed a business of Rs 1.40 lakh crore and plans to achieve a target of Rs 2 lakh crore business in 2012-13. He said the bank has secured awards for Best Asset Quality and Best Customer Friendliness in the current year.

He apprised the customers of relaxed friendly norms and low interest rate of housing loan and vehicle loan and promised that the bank would be a One stop Financial Mall catering to ordinary people with extraordinary services.”

As part of the function,the bank felicitated Maha Bank Meritorious Scholarship awardees Payal Vilas Chavat and Isha Anirudha Patankar,who secured 100 per cent and 98.4 per cent marks,respectively. On the occasion,Marathi actress Mukta Barve launched bank’s new business of “Gold Coin Sale” by handing over the first gold coin to buyer,Air Marshal Bhushan N Gokhale,Retd. Vice Chief of Air Staff,Indian Air Force.

The bank also felicitated two customers Dajikaka Gadgil,founder member of M/S P N Gadgil & Co and Hanumantharao Gaikwad,founder member of M/S BVG Group of Industries,Pune.
