Amit Shah arrives, to address meet at Balewadi today

Union Home Minister Amit Shah

UNION Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday arrived in Pune city. He will address a convention at Shiv Chhatrapati Shivaji Sports Complex in Balewadi on Sunday afternoon.

Apart with Shah, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari will also address the meeting. The meeting is being convened ahead of the assembly election due in October.

BJP spokesperson Sandeep Khardekar said the entire state cabinet will be present for it. “The Chief Minister as well as Deputy CMs will also address the convention,” he said.

Khardekar said the convention will start at 10 am but the Union Home Minister is expected to address it around 3 pm.

The convention assumes significance as the BJP-led Mahayuti had suffered a setback during the Lok Sabha elections and is now gearing up for assembly polls.
