Marksheets will be distributed in the colleges concerned on November 20, 3pm onwards
The results of the supplementary exams of HSC (Std 12) saw a drop of more than five per cent in the pass percentage compared to last year. The exams were held in September-October, and the results were declared on Tuesday.
The results, declared online by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) showed that of the 78,077 students registered with the nine divisional boards i.e. Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, Mumbai, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur and Konkan, 76,270 appeared for the exams and 16,434 of them cleared the exams. This stands for a pass percentage of 21.59 per cent, a considerable drop from last year’s pass percentage of 26.77 per cent.

In Pune Division, a total of 2,916 students passed the supplementary exam out of 14,631 that appeared from the 15,107 registered students, coming to a pass percentage of 19.93 per cent. Incidentally, the pass percentage of Pune division has dropped slightly from last year’s pass percentage of 20.76.
Aurangabad division registered the highest pass percentage of 36.25 with 2,031 students clearing the exams from 5,685 who had appeared. Mumbai division, having the highest number of appeared students (20,846) had the least pass percentage of 17.92 with only 3,735 students clearing the exam, which is 10.03 per cent lower than last year’s results. The exams also registered an overall 0.03 percent of unfair means cases with 22 cases of cheating being registered.
Meanwhile, the marksheets will be distributed in the colleges concerned on November 20, 3pm onwards. Those students interested in applying for re-evaluation of marks can do so from November 21 to November 30, while those wishing to get copy of answer sheets can apply between November 18 to December 7.
Students who want to apply for complete re-checking of the answer sheet can do so within five days of applying for the same.
