Zilla Parishad schools in the Naxal-affected Gadchiroli district have been selected for the ‘Solar School Project’, an initiative of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis with social support from Shloka Ambani, member of the Ambani Group of Industries and Director of the Rosy Blue Foundation.

The project aims to provide uninterrupted power supply for teaching and digital learning in schools, directly benefiting around 1,470 students. It seeks to ensure sustainable, clean and reliable energy access for the education system in Gadchiroli.

Gadchiroli Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Suhas Gade approved the Rosy Blue Foundation’s proposal for the Solar School Project on October 31, 2025.

In the first phase, solar energy units will be installed in ten Zilla Parishad schools in Dhanora tehsil, including Zila Parishad Primary Schools at Dhanora, Muskya, Salebhatti, Rangi, Nimgaon, Dudmala, Murumgaon and Bandhona, as well as Zila Parishad High Schools at Dhanora and Mohali.

Chief Minister Fadnavis described the initiative by Shloka Ambani to strengthen educational infrastructure in Gadchiroli, an ‘Aspirational District’ identified by NITI Aayog, as “highly commendable.” He assured that the state government and district administration would extend full cooperation to the project.

Acknowledging the social work of the Rosy Blue Foundation and its volunteer platform ‘Connect For’, Fadnavis also appealed to Shloka Ambani and Maniti Shah, founder of Connect For, to focus their efforts particularly on the Gadchiroli district.
