Youth killed in road mishap

A youth was killed and his friend severely injured after a speeding auto rickshaw in which they were travelling lost control and rammed into a dumper in Vikhroli on Monday,police said.

A youth was killed and his friend severely injured after a speeding auto rickshaw in which they were travelling lost control and rammed into a dumper in Vikhroli on Monday,police said.

Mohammed Quereshi (22) and Sujata Dawle (17),residents of Saki Vihar,were travelling in the auto rickshaw driven by Yashwant Singh (22) when it hit the dumper from rear on LBS Road this morning.

All three received injuries,police said adding Singh had lost control over the rickshaw and rammed into the dumber.Quereshi died while undergoing treatment in Godrej Memorial hospital while Dawle,admitted in the same hospital,was said to be critical,police added.

Singh was admitted in a civic-run hospital where he was undergoing treatment,police said adding a case was registered against him for causing death of a person due to reckless driving. Further probe was on.
