Lil Flea completes a decade

The Lil Flea, which completes a decade this year, is back with over 400 homegrown brands curated from across the country alongside stalls featuring delectable foods, bakes and desserts. There will also be a large festival bar highlighting micro-breweries, Indian liquors, gin bars, wines, whiskeys and festival cocktails. To keep the entertainment quotient high, there will be over 20 live bands and plenty of workshops and experience.

Iftar thali at Bayroute

Middle Eastern restaurant Bayroute has launched ‘Dawaat-E-Iftar’ featuring vegetarian and non-vegetarian thalis. While vegetarians can savour pide zaffran, non-vegetarians can indulge in quwarmah pide and harissa chicken kebab. In sweets, expect their famed baklava and pistachio mafroukeh.

Solo exhibition by Eeshani Mitra

Visual artist and zine maker Eeshani Mitra presents a solo show titled ‘Electric Floral Fantasy’. The exhibition includes a series of printed photographic installations, video installations, and wax-works, all featuring Mitra’s exploration of natural and synthetic materials, giving rise to works where the foreign and the familiar collide. Extending beyond traditional narratives and formats, the body of work is a window to a surreal world, which is scanned and sometimes moulded in wax by the artist.

FMMAI hosts inaugural referees and judges’ training camp

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is rapidly gaining popularity in India, particularly among the youth. To ensure safety and fairness in competitions, the Federation of Mixed Martial Arts India (FMMAI) is hosting its inaugural referee and judges training camp and examination this week. The aim is to equip a group of referees and judges to officiate at various MMA events. This training opportunity will be led by expert FMMAI officials, who are certified by the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA) in Amsterdam, and is open to active combat sports practitioners, coaches seeking to enhance their profiles, and enthusiasts keen on gaining insights into MMA.
