Cycling through the streets of Mumbai 

Do you remember those childhood days when the cycle was the only vehicle we had? The holidays would be spent cycling with buddies. What if we can do it again? Trek India is organising a midnight cycling event in an attempt to look at Mumbai nightlife through a different lens. Participants would gather at Colaba at 11 pm for orientation and distribution of cycles before heading to Worli Seaface and enjoying the breeze before the trip back to Colaba.

A tribute to Pink Floyd

Psychedelic-progressive rock band from Bengaluru, Dark Light, whose music has been compared to a soulful blend of stadium rock’s ferocity and fury with progressive elements and ambient psychedelic soundscapes, is coming to Navi Mumbai this weekend. The five-piece band, which draws inspiration from artists such as Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree, U2, Opeth and Guns N’ Roses, will be paying a tribute to Pink Floyd. The event is strictly for people aged 21 years and above, and the ticket cost includes cover charges.

A poet on tour

Instagram poet Jai Singh is coming to Mumbai with his show Mohabbat Zindabad. The poet who has millions of followers on social media will be performing a story about his life experience spanning over a decade. The show, promising a roller coaster of emotions, is the story of love, friends, siblings, parents and even grandparents.

An evening of Ghazals

Heavily influenced by ghazal exponent Ghulam Ali Khan, Chandan Das, who has several award-winning albums to his credit, will present a bouquet of ghazals composed by some classic poets like Bashir Badr and Nida Fazli, along with works of contemporary poets like Payam Saeedi, Ibrahim Ashq and Azeem Malik.

Summit to Siachen via Prithvi

Aditya Rawal and Zahan Kapoor, who were last seen in Hansal Mehta’s Faraaz, are collaborating again, this time for a play under Rawal’s production house. The duo has also roped in theatre stalwart Makrand Deshpande to direct the play. Premiering on June 15, the 80-minute play titled Siachen is a fictional survival drama about three Indian soldiers stuck on the Siachen Glacier, on the border of India and Pakistan.
