A day after Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar ridiculed the Yuva Sangharsh Yatra held by opposition MLA and his nephew Rohit Pawar, the latter warned him, saying neglecting the problems faced by unemployed youth will not be tolerated.

“He has finally woken up to the ongoing Yuva Sangharsh Yatra held to draw attention towards the plight of youth in this state. He can now look at the the issues raised here. If he wants to criticise me, I have no problem with it. I am ready to face it. But I will not tolerate any neglect towards the issues faced by the youth,” said Rohit.

The opposition NCP MLA embarked on the Yuva Sangharsh Yatra from Pune to Nagpur to draw the attention of people towards the issues faced by youth. Speaking at the study workshop held at Raigad’s Karjat, Rohit’s uncle and state’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar ridiculed the yatra raising question on the intention behind it. “What sangharsh (struggle) is he talking about? Have you ever done sangharsh in your life,” Ajit asked.

Despite Ajit joining hands with the BJP, Rohit has decided to remain with his grand uncle and NCP chief Sharad Pawar. He will be reaching Nagpur on December 12 after covering around 800 km on foot.

Replying to Ajit, Rohit said that Maharashtra has in the past seen efficiency and urge to work by his uncle. “There are talks that ever since he joined hands with the BJP, both these things have reduced. But it would be good to see if these things turn out false,” he said.

The young MLA taunted the BJP and Ajit over the allegations made by the former over irrigation scam. During the tenure of Congress-NCP government, the opposition BJP had brought a bullock cart keeping papers related to alleged irrigation scam. “The bullock cart seem to have not reached the destination yet as those who used it seem to have forgotten it now,” Rohit said.

Taking a dig at Ajit, he said that during his road journey through Maharashtra, he is witnessing marks of that bullock cart and even the people have not forgotten this.
