The 27-year old Spanish singer,who was raped in the city last year,has chosen to depose in the case through video conferencing.
In an official communication early this month,the prosecution had conveyed to her she could either physically appear before the court or depose through video-conferencing.
On November 5,2012,accused Mohammed Anwar Ansari alias Badshah allegedly broke into her rented flat in suburban Bandra and raped and robbed her at knife point. Ansari was arrested two days after the incident and has been in custody since then.
The case has been assigned to the special womens court set up in March this year.
In July,the state government appointed Ujjwal Nikam as a special public prosecutor in the case.
