A day after Uddhav Thackeray slammed Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde Thursday in a veiled attack on the Sena UBT chief said that those who never stepped out of their houses are now talking about “finishing others”.
Accusing Fadnavis of “hatching a conspiracy” to put him and his son Aaditya Thackeray in jail, Uddhav had Wednesday said that either him or the deputy chief minister will remain in politics.
Reacting to the remarks, Shinde said: “It is strange that those who never stepped out of their homes are now talking of battlefield and finishing others.” The chief minister added that he strongly stand by Fadnavis.
Addressing party workers, Uddhav had said Wednesday: “(Former minister) Anil Deshmukh has revealed now how a conspiracy was hatched by Fadnavis to put me and Aaditya (Thackeray) in jail. I have endured everything, but still standing bravely and firmly. So now either you (Fadnavis) will remain in politics or I will remain..”
BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule had said that “even after taking several births Uddhav will not be able to finish Fadnavis politically.”
