Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to virtually launch the Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express train on December 30 from Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya during the inaugural event of the Ayodhya Dham Junction railway station. Two Amrit Bharat Express trains — the Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Delhi (Anand Vihar Terminal) and the Malda Town-Bengaluru — and five other Vande Bharat Express trains will also be flagged off on the occasion. As per the Central Railway, the Vande Bharat Express special train to Mumbai city numbered 02705 will consist of eight coaches and will complete the journey from the Maharashtrian city of Jalna in 7 hours and 45 minutes. The tentative schedule for the journey is 11 am at Jalna station; 11.55 am at Aurangabad; 1.42 pm at Manmad Junction; 2.44 pm at Nasik Road; 5.06 pm at Kalyan Junction; 5.28 pm at Thane, 5.50 pm at Dadar, and 6.45 pm at CSMT Mumbai respectively. The Vande Bharat Express will be given a warm welcome at Manmad Junction, Nashik Road, Kalyan Junction, Thane, Dadar Central, and CSMT Mumbai station on Saturday. It will be welcomed by Members of Parliament, legislators, guardian ministers, school students, and the public. The five other Vande Bharat trains are Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – New Delhi Vande Bharat Express, Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express, Coimbatore-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express, Mangalore-Madgaon (Goa) Vande Bharat Express, and Ayodhya Dham-Anand Vihar Terminal (Delhi) Vande Bharat Express.
