Open-air gym to come up soon at Marine Drive

The BMC has approved a proposal for an open-air gym on the Marine Drive promenade that will come up within a week.

The gym will be set up by actor Dino Morea,who had approached BMC in March seeking permission to install workout stations in the city,especially in joggers’ parks and promenades such as Marine Drive and Carter Road. BMC is also planning to open a similar workout station at Carter Road.

“This is aimed at providing better fitness facilities to citizens for free,” Mayor Sunil Prabhu said.
