(File)One person was injured and no casualties were reported after a cylinder explosion sparked a fire Thursday in Wadala’s Deenbandhu Nagar.
The incident was reported at 2.18 pm in a small room near Husainiya Masjid at Wadala East’s Salt Pan road.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), an LPG gas cylinder exploded which started a fire in the vicinity.

The injured was identified as Harishchandra Tripathi (55) who sustained 25 – 30 per cent burn injuries. He has been admitted to the civic-run Sion Hospital. His condition was stable, as per medical officers.
