After receiving good response from Air Conditioned (AC) Vande Bharat Express, a premium semi-high speed train launched on routes of Shirdi, Solapur, Ahmedabad and Goa by Central and Western Railway, the Indian Railways is most likely to introduce non-AC Vande Sadharan Express for low-cost ticket travellers. A new express train coloured in orange strips and grey colour comprising 22 general coaches for unreserved ticket travellers has come to Mumbai and parked at CR's Wadi Bunder depot, said an official of CR who did not wish to be named adding that the train has come from Solapur. The new train will have sleeper coaches with new seating facility offering extra space in the coaches. Officials of CR refused to give any details on this new train. However, insiders revealed that a trial run will soon be held. However, they could not reveal on which route the Vande Sadharan Express will be introduced. The push-pull LHB, most likely to be named Vande Sadharan Express, has two engines at both ends which will ensure efficient running with good speed unlike other ordinary express trains, saving the time of travellers on the lines of Vande Bharat Express.
