Navi Mumbai International Airport seeks vendor for aviation turbine fuel supply
In addition to the fuel supply tender, NMIA has recently completed testing of the Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) system, a vital component of the airport’s aeronautical ground lighting.

The Navi Mumbai International Airport Private Limited (NMIAL) is actively seeking a vendor to supply Aviation Turbine Fuel (JET A-1) for testing purposes at the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA).
NMIAL has recently issued a Request for Proposal to invite bids from vendors authorised by the Government of India and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to distribute and sell aviation turbine fuel (JET A-1) in the country.
The selected vendor will play a crucial role in supporting the airport’s operational readiness by providing fuel for essential testing at the airport’s fuel farm.
The successful completion of this phase is expected to bring the airport closer to full operational status, easing air traffic congestion in the Mumbai metropolitan area and enhancing regional connectivity.
In addition to the fuel supply tender, NMIA has recently completed testing of the Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) system, a vital component of the airport’s aeronautical ground lighting. The system helps ensure pilots maintain the correct glide slope while landing.
With this system now calibrated, the South Runway is one step closer to the airport’s first-ever flight trials. The airport’s first commercial aircraft landing is expected to take place in early 2025, following successful trials.
