"Tensions" between CM Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis have been the subject of constant analysis. At the swearing-in ceremony of NCP leaders that took place on Sunday, however, it was the casual manner in which Shinde greeted Ajit Pawar after he was sworn in as Deputy CM that led to murmurs that Shinde and his camp may not be too happy with a third component being added to the ruling combine in Maharashtra. OBC Face While addressing the media after the swearing-in, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar flanked by Praful Patel and Chhagan Bhujbal said the NCP leaders forming part of the government had representatives from all genders, communities and castes. While mentioning the diversity, he forgot to mention OBC and it was a red-faced OBC leader Bhujbal who had to intervene to remind him that they had OBC representatives as well. What's Next For Somaiya Soon after the list of NCP leaders to be sworn in was announced, many started commenting on the plight of BJP leader Kirit Somaiya, who in the case of many of these leaders was at the forefront of making allegations against them and following up on their cases with investigating agencies and at times announcing action against them through his social media platforms. New MMRDA Chief's Move On Projects After S V R Srinivas, former MMRDA Commissioner, was transferred to Dharavi Redevelopment Project, the chief engineer of MMRDA immediately issued a notification distributing projects among engineers. The former MMRDA commissioner was also not aware as this was done after he was transferred. After objection raised by a few engineers, the new MMRDA commissioner immediately stayed the order. Now the new commissioner is believed to be reviewing the work done by engineers and accordingly projects will be distributed.
