Mumbai: Man held for sexually assaulting 8-yr-old boy
According to police, the boy and his friend were bursting firecrackers near their home on Monday when the accused approached them and told the boy to go with him if he wanted more firecrackers.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly sexually assaulting an eight-year-old boy after luring him by promising him firecrackers. The accused had two cases against him in the past, police said.
According to police, the boy and his friend were bursting firecrackers near their home on Monday when the accused approached them and told the boy to go with him if he wanted more firecrackers.
The boy went with the accused who took him to an isolated building and assaulted him sexually, police said. He also threatened to kill the boy if he told anyone about the incident. The child went home and did not tell anyone about the incident.
On Tuesday, he started crying when his parents asked him if he was unwell. Then he narrated the incidents to his parents who then approached the police.
Police registered an FIR under sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and arrested the accused on Tuesday.
On checking his record, police found the accused was already facing two cases for uttering words, gestures or actions with intent to molest.
