The test results of blood and urine samples taken from those who had attended the rave party in Juhu on May 20 are expected next week, police said.
The Juhu police have approached the forensic laboratory in Kalina at Satacruz east and asked them to submit the reports as early as possible.
Generally, reports in such cases are expected within a month. However,we have sent a letter to the laboratory to complete the paper work and give the reports within 15 days, said Vishwas Nangre-Patil,Additional Commissioner of Police (West).
Meanwhile, even as the Juhu police are continuing investigations to find out about the invitees, there has been no progress in identifying the drug peddler or source of the contraband seized from the pub during the raid. Investigators said their priority would now be the forensic reports.
The Juhu police officers, who had raided the Oakwood Hotel on May 20,had detained 91 guests and arrested the organiser of the party Vishay Handa.
The police had also seized 110 grams of cocaine and 64 grams of charas from the spot after which the 91 people were sent to hospitals to take their blood and urine samples to find out who had consumed drugs and alcohol.
The police had also asked for an extension of Handas police custody to find out about the guests who he had invited to the party, however, they have slowed down investigations on the supplier of the drugs until they get the blood and urine reports of the guests.
When contacted, Patil said,We will only begin to probe after the reports of the guests test positive. At this moment our concern is to find out whether the guests were consuming drugs in the party.
