Masked men attack employees of diamond trader,snatch Rs 35 lakh

Two diamond trader’s employees were allegedly attacked by four unidentified men and had a bag holding Rs 35 lakh snatched from them Wednesday evening. According to Byculla police,the incident occurred near Prerna hospital in Byculla at 4:30 pm. Sandeep Patre (42) and Ashok Zaveri (54),who work for Mohit Exports diamond trading firm in Opera House,had gone to Byculla to collect money from a merchant’s office. They were exiting the lane and were trying to get a taxi when four men on two bikes attacked them.
