A day after Mumbai Police detained a 21-year-old man from Jodhpur for allegedly sending an email threatening to kill actor Salman Khan, the police on Monday brought him to Mumbai and produced him before court. He was remanded in police custody for seven days. The accused identified as Dhakadram Ramlal Siag told the police that he sent the mail to increase his followers on social media sites. He told the court on Monday that it was his mistake and he regretted it. According to the police, Khan has received two emails in the last 10 days. In the first email that was sent on March 18, the sender allegedly claimed that he is being threatened by the Goldie Brar gang. A case was registered at Bandra police station and while the investigation was underway, the actor company's received another threat mail on March 24. "As soon as the second case was registered, the sender was traced to Jodhpur and he was apprehended on Sunday with the help of local police. The person belongs to the Bishnoi community," said an officer. The police said the accused works as a waiter at a hotel in Jodhpur. "When we checked his past, we came to know that he was previously booked under the Arms Act at Sardarpura police station in Rajasthan. He also sent a threat mail to the father of rapper Siddhu Moosewala for which a case is registered in Punjab," the officer said.
