Man drowns in Borivali lake

The man who fell into the lake was taken to the Shatabdi Hospital where he was declared brought dead

A 20-year-old man drowned after falling into the Jhansi Rani Laxmibai lake in Borivali West on Sunday.

According to officials, the incident was reported at 6.22 pm at the lake near SK resort. The man who fell into the lake was taken to the Shatabdi Hospital where he was declared brought dead. The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Altaf Sharif Shaikh (20).

On Friday, one person drowned while another was rescued by the lifeguards from the seas off Silver Beach at Juhu. While Rajkumar Govind Subba (22) was rescued in the nick of time, the body of Vighnesh Murgesh Devendram (20) was found 14 hours later. Both were residents of Vile Parle’s Nehru Nagar.
