Maharashtra leads in FDI with Rs 1.65 lakh crore for 2024-25 fiscal: CM Devendra Fadnavis

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday said Maharashtra is leading in foreign direct investment (FDI) as it received Rs 1.65 lakh crore in the 2024-25 fiscal, almost 40 per cent of the total Rs 4.21 lakh crore that the country received in the previous financial year.
“The state has retained its leadership in FDI consistently. As compared to the previous financial year, the FDI is 32 per cent higher,” said a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office.
The last quarter of the 2024-25 fiscal showed that Maharashtra received Rs 25,441 crore in FDI.
“Maharashtra has made a record with highest FDI in the last 10 years. I express my gratitude to the people of Maharashtra for helping us achieve this milestone,” said Fadnavis.
He also thanked Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar for their support in running the coalition government and taking forward the policies and reforms for the welfare of the people of the state.
