The secretary of a trust which runs a Ratnagiri-based college and four others were arrested for allegedly assaulting four professors of the college, police said Tuesday.

The police action came following a complaint by four professors from Khare-Dhere and Bhosale college in Guhagar, who claimed that they were attacked by the members of the college management last week for opposing their “mismanagement”.

The Guhagar police arrested five persons, including Sandeep Bhosale, secretary of the Guhagar Education Society, which runs the college.
