The CM said that Operation Sindoor has once again shown the extraordinary capabilities of our armed forces as they could target the terror camps with precision and destroy it.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday said that the Indian Armed Forces brought Pakistan to their knees through Operation Sindoor, the strikes conducted on terror sites in Pakistan on May 7.
Fadnavis also said that it was Pakistan that approached the US to mediate for a ceasefire.
In an interview with a TV channel during an award function in Mumbai, Fadnavis said, “It was Pakistan which approached China, US and UAE, urging them to mediate with India. Whoever was mediating, when contacted India, was categorically told that if Pakistan wants to end the war, they should directly talk to India. Accordingly, Pakistan officials contacted our officials for a ceasefire.”
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the nation on Monday, Fadnavis said, “The one thing which appealed to me the most was the stand taken not to differentiate between terror sponsors and terrorists.”
The CM said that Operation Sindoor has once again shown the extraordinary capabilities of our armed forces as they could target the terror camps with precision and destroy it.
“With equal precision, they countered Pakistan’s attempt through drones and weapons. In this entire operation, Pakistan could not hit any of our defense shields, which speaks volumes about out armed forces preparedness and capabilities,” he added.
