FIR against developer after worker falls to death from 4th floor

The incident came to light around 4 am  when a watchman discovered Baiga’s body on the ground and alerted others. His sleeping mat and slippers on the fourth floor.

A 34-year-old worker from Uttar Pradesh fell off the fourth floor of an under-construction building in Vikhroli early Wednesday while he was alseep, following which an FIR was registered against the developer for negligence.

According to police, Santoshkumar Baiga, from Sonbhadra district in Uttar Pradesh, finished his work, dined with other workers and went to sleep on the fourth floor on Tuesday night.

After preliminary investigation, Vikhroli police found that the construction site had open spaces without safety nets, following which an FIR was filed against Swastik Platinum developers and other parties responsible. The police are yet to make any arrests in the case.
