After the arrest, vice-chancellor Sanjay Deshmukh formed a fact-finding committee. Based on the findings of this committee, the Board of Examination proposed the installation of CCTV cameras, control rooms and use of intrusion detection software to the management council.

The council has also decided to bring in an advanced security system in the examination house at the Kalina campus and the university will take the help of the Israel government for this. The council has also decided to ban the use of mobilephones inside the examination house.

The council is yet to decide on the action to be taken against the students involved in the scam, according to Wasave.

According to the Bhandup police, the accused officials, after receiving WhatsApp images of hall tickets, pulled out the corresponding answersheets from the examination house at the Kalina campus and handed them over to some agents. The agents then took the answersheets to the students.
