In Bandra, where a new club is opened every week,Rehab by Suvedh Lohia,a new bar-cum-club-cum-lounge-cum-restaurant isnt quite the headline stealer. But what sets Rehab apart is its quirky decor and out-of-the-box concept. For instance Its tables spell out Love,Sane and Insane in big bold letters while toilets are labelled Stable and Unstable. With such decor, the Rehab team is leaving the concept open to interpretations. Everyone is addicted to something, says Lohia, who opened the place to public on Sunday. You can come here for good food,a relaxing drink or just to hang out with your friends and have a good time.
This 1,700 sq ft space on Linking Road, comes in place of Shooters,a popular haunt for Mumbais party-goers,five years ago. Shooters shut shop when the 1.30 am deadline wasnt followed to the tee by the owners and for a long time the space wasnt given a lot of attention.
The space was renovated recently by Lohia when he got a concept to work on. We finally settled for this concept because rehabilitation means something good, he says. You always go in and come out feeling better, says Lohia, who also owns Red Light in Kala Ghoda, and Squeeze and Fellas in Khar.
