The Congress-NCP alliance, which had won 144 out of the 288 Assembly seats (Congress 82,NCP 62) and required one more seat to reach the magic figure of 145 for a clear majority,is all set to get the support of two MLAs of Bahujan Vikas Aghadi (BVA). The two BVA MLAs,Kshitij Hitendra Thakur from Nalasopara and Vilas Sukur Tare from Boisar (both in Thane district),submitted a formal letter of support to the Congress on Saturday. With the support of the duo,the Congress tally would go up to 86 and that of the Congress-NCP alliance to 146.
