Addressing media after the budget presentation, Shinde said, “When the monsoon session commenced on Thursday, opposition termed it as a farewell session. But our budget should be an eye opener. It has shown our steel and resolve as it served each and every segment of the society.”
Shinde’s comments came in the wake of the comments of Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray, who had termed the monsoon session as the farewell session of Mahayuti.

Earlier, commenting on the budget, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “The budget is neither populist nor driven by politics. The budget depicts our determination to address the concerns of the masses. It is all encompassing where every sector and segment has been addressed.”
