Body of Dahisar youth found,three more arrested

The Dahisar police on Thursday recovered the body of a 20-year-old youth from Aarey Colony jungle and arrested three persons for allegedly plotting and executing the murder.

The Dahisar police on Thursday recovered the body of a 20-year-old youth from Aarey Colony jungle and arrested three persons for allegedly plotting and executing the murder. Kaushik Jalewadi was kidnapped and murdered on Monday and his body was allegedly buried in the jungle by two adivasis.

The police arrested Raju Ghar on Tuesday for allegedly kidnapping Jalewadi. Three othersNitin Nisar,Ghars relative,Nitins sister Yogini,and Sunil Jadiya were arrested on Thursday. We have arrested the four for murder,kidnapping and conspiracy, said Ansar Pirzade,senior inspector of Dahisar police station.

We found the body after searching for two days. However,the body was decomposed as the accused had put 1 kg of salt on it before burying. Even the dog squad was unable to detect the scent of the body, he added.

The police are on the lookout for three more persons,including two adivasi natives of Aarey colony,who had allegedly taken the contract to bury the body.

According to the Dahisar police,Jalewadi was called by Ghar to the Jari Mari garden in Dahisar (East) on Monday evening. The two took a rickshaw and went to Kandivali,from where they went to Goregaon in a Maruti Zen along with Sunil Jadiya,Don,Raju Kalia and Lakshman. After a while,the five men allegedly strangulated Jalewadi.

His body was then handed over to two adivasis of Aarey Colony,Naresh and Anil,along with 1 kg of salt for faster decomposition. After his arrest,Ghar claimed that Nitin and his family members gave him a contract of Rs 5 lakh to kill Jalewadi over a family dispute.
