In a bid to carry out repair works, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) will cut water supply in the city's M/East and M/West between August 24 and 25 until 10 am. The M/West ward comprises Chembur whereas the M/East ward includes Mankhurd, Deonar and Shivaji Nagar areas. According to officials, while the civic body has undertaken repair works within Trombay High Level Reservoir, the BMC is slated to fill water through one of the 1,800 mm inlets between Thursday and Friday. The Trombay High Level Reservoir is situated in Chembur's Anushakti Nagar. Releasing a list of locations wherein the civic body will impose complete water cut, the officials have appealed to the residents of wards concerned to keep necessary stock of water before the water supply is cut off. "Also, the BMC requests residents’ cooperation in using water sparingly during the period of water supply shutdown", said a bulletin released by the civic body.
