Beed gangrape: custody of accused extended

The MCOCA court here on Friday extended the police custody,till May 21,of four booked for gangraping a government official and robbing her family in Beed district on April 10.

The MCOCA court here on Friday extended the police custody,till May 21,of four booked for gangraping a government official and robbing her family in Beed district on April 10.

Beed police had sought the custody of Deepak Jawale,Sunil Yekhande,Vijay Bade and Abhay Pore. Public prosecutor Walmik Shewale told the court,“Police need their custody to learn who accompanied them during the crime,where they plotted it,details of their property and other information related to the case.”

Special MCOCA judge Sharadkumar Patil granted police custody of the four till May 21. They had been produced in the MCOCA court on April 26 and sent to police custody till May 6.
