Associate of 7/11 accused shot at in Nagpada

Real estate agent Sohail Ilyas Khan,also known as Soni Majid Khan,was shot at by two motorcycle-borne assailants at Teli Mohalla in Nagpada on Saturday. Police said this is the eighth case of shooting in the past year. Khan is currently undergoing treatment at the J J Hospital.

Sources said Khan,who works with builder Akram,is an alleged close aide of 7/11 Mumbai train blast accused Ehtesham Siddiqui. He is also known to be the “messenger boy” of Siddiqui as he allegedly delivers food to the blast accused in jail. He also delivers food to three others from the Chotta Shakeel gang.

The incident took place on Saturday when Khan was followed by two persons on a motorcycle.

The duo shot three rounds at Khan,following which he suffered injuries on his leg but drove himself to hospital, sources said.
