Kingfisher flight makes emergency landing in Goa Panaji: A Bangalore-bound Kingfisher flight carrying 100 passengers made an emergency landing in Goa on Monday after its windshield developed a crack. Goa airport spokesperson said A320 landed at 8.10 am after the pilot noticed the crack. The plane was flying from Mumbai to Bangalore. Airport officials said arrangements were being made to fly the passengers to Bangalore. The plane is currently under repair at Goa airport, he said,adding that the cause of the crack could not be ascertained. Crime of passion: 28-year-old killed A 28-year-old man was allegedly murdered by a watchman,who suspected the victim of getting close to his girlfriend,in Khar on Sunday. The victim,Ahmad,worked as a driver and knew the accused,Munnasingh Rampalsingh Patel (25),a watchman at the Metropolitan Society on Nargis Dutt Road in Khar (West). Patel often complained that Ahmad was causing problems in his love life. He had a fight with him on Sunday evening and in a fit of rage,Patel stabbed Ahmad multiple times, said Senior Inspector Mangesh Pote of Khar police station. He was rushed to a hospital,but was declared dead. He suffered multiple stab wounds to his stomach and legs, Pote added. Another watchman,who saw the incident,informed the police. We have arrested Patel for murder and he has confessed to the crime. We are yet to recover the murder weapon. Further investigations are on, said Pote. Girl attempted suicide several times Shenaz Sheikh (23),who jumped off the Bandra Worli Sea Link on Sunday,had tried to kill herself on more than one occasion,the police said on Monday. According to sources,Sheikhs mother told the police that Sundays incident was not the first. Earlier,Sheikh had tried to set herself ablaze and had also tried to slit her wrists in a bid to end her life. Since she did not sustain serious injuries,the incidents went unreported, said Vasant Tajne,senior inspector of Worli police station. Inquiries so far have revealed that unemployment and depression could be the causes behind her repeated suicide attempts. Shehnaz had been disturbed and depressed ever since the bar that she worked for shut down. She had been unable to secure employment anywhere else, the officer added.
