Rahul Kanal, Aaditya’s close aide, joins Shinde-led Sena

Kanal was appointed trustee of Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust (SSST), the temple trust in Shirdi, and was also a member of BMC education committee in 2017.

Sena on Friday had suspended all office bearers of Yuva Sena from Bandra West including Kanal. Upset over the event, Kanal took to the Twitter. “Feeling sad!!! Very well know who has done this but removing people who have worked for you without a hearing is arrogance and you could remove me, but not the people who have worked day and night. Chalo acha hai sabko pata chale ke Ego aur arrogance kya hota hai !!! (it’s good that now people will know what happens with ego and arrogance),” the tweet said.

Kanal is said to be close to several celebrities in the Mumbai film and entertainment industry.

Interestingly, the Income Tax (IT) department searched Kanal’s home last year and he was under the IT department’s lens too. Kanal runs NGOs like I Love Mumbai and is involved in several CSR projects.

Now barring a few, only Varun Sardesai who is Aaditya’s cousin is still part of the organisation. Earlier Yuva Sena leaders like former corporator Amey Ghole, former corporator Samadan Sarvankar , leader Purvesh Sarnaik and Siddhesh Kadam have left Yuva Sena.
