60-yr-old kicks barking dog, stabs 2 who confronted him in Mulund; held

Local residents alerted the police following which the Mulund police started looking for the accused and eventually placed him under arrest.

A 60-YEAR-OLD man was arrested for allegedly stabbing two persons who confronted him when he kicked a dog in Mulund on Wednesday.

The duo was rushed to the local hospital where they are currently recuperating. The Mulund police have registered an attempt to murder case against the accused, Dinesh Boricha.

An officer said that the incident took place Wednesday morning in Mulund near the residence of a woman, who was out with her three relatives and dog. When the dog started barking, the accused, who was also present at the spot, allegedly kicked the dog, police said. When the woman’s relatives confronted him about it, he pulled out a chopper and stabbed two of them several times before fleeing the spot, police said.

The duo was rushed to the local hospital where they are currently recuperating.
