13-yr-old jumps to her death in Mahim
A Mahim police team registered an accidental death report. A senior police official said, “We have come to know that she was often on her cellphone, which made her parents very unhappy, so they took away the phone.”

A 13-year-old girl allegedly ended her life by jumping from the seventh floor of a residential building in Mahim. Primary investigation by local police has revealed that her parents took away her cellphone as she was spending too much time on it. This upset her, due to which she ended her life.
According to police officials, the incident took place at around 7.30 am on Wednesday. An officer said, “After she jumped from her flat, the watchman and locals alerted her family, who rushed her to a hospital nearby. She was declared dead upon arrival.

Police further said the Class 8 student remained upset with her parents for a few days after her phone was taken away. On Wednesday morning she jumped to her death. “We are checking if there is any other angle to it,” said an officer.
