A youth in his mid-20s was arrested for making an attempt to rape a 3-year-old girl on Monday. The daughter of a peon working at Ambedkar Vidya Mandir located in Ambedkar Nagar,she was playing in the verandah of the school when Ajay Kumar,staying opposite this school,took her to his room and tried to rape her,as per a police complaint. The peon searched for her daughter and found her in Ajays room. Later,Ajay was arrested. City industrialists meet Deputy CM Members of the Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organisation (FICO) under the leadership of their president Gurmeet Singh Kular met Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal. Among the issues they raised were property tax and problems of industry in mixed land use.
