YAD leader seeks Lord Jambeshwar chair at PAU

Sanjeev Godara,the district head of Youth Akali Dal,Fazilka,has urged Chief Minister Punjab Parkash Singh Badal to set up a chair in the name of Lord Jambeshwar,the founder of Bishnoi religion,at Punjab agricultural University.

Sanjeev Godara,the district head of Youth Akali Dal,Fazilka,has urged Chief Minister Punjab Parkash Singh Badal to set up a chair in the name of Lord Jambeshwar,the founder of Bishnoi religion,at Punjab agricultural University.

“The Abohar region is known for the Bishnoi families who have a long history of sacrifices made to save flora and fauna. Their sacrifice should be recognized and a chair established. Through the chair we will be able to initiate research projects in conservation of environment,” he added.

Talking about the role of the YAD in the upcoming SGPC elections,Godara said,“For us it is like a semi-final match while the finals would be played out during the 2012 Vidhan Sabha elections. The YAD cadre is working hard to ensure that our party secures an easy win in the SGPC elections.”

On the role of the youth in politics,Godara said,“The SAD(B) has ensured that the youth at all levels in both the rural and urban areas should be involved in the election process”.
