Will seek CBI inquiry in Indira Awas Yojana scam if not satisfied with state probe: Tewari

Adding to this Member of Parliament,Ludhiana,Manish Tewrai said,“After the scam came to light,we are monitoring the manner in which the Punjab government is probing the case. The government is conducting an audit of this scheme while the police is also investigating the matter. However,if we are not satisfied with the manner in which this probe is moving we will approach the Center and call for a CAG audit and a probe by the CBI.”

He has also called for proper implementation of welfare schemes both at the state and district levels and said officials should ensure that the fruit of these scheme reaches the real beneficiaries.
