Simple and bubbly,this 25-year-old actor from Punjab has been entertaining us every evening. Meet Prableen Kaur who plays Vidya Verma in Zee TV’s daily soap ‘Aapki Antara’. While on screen she’s mother to Antara,in real life Kaur is still waiting to tie the knot! “As far as relating to my character goes,I think I am a complete opposite,” tells Kaur who unlike Vidya Verma,listens to both her mind and her heart before taking action. “Vidya thinks just with heart,” chuckles Kaur who originally hails from Ferozepur. While this Punjabi girl has been an all-rounder throughout her college days,she always aspired to be an actor. “It was a childhood dream. During college,I participated in all the youth fests. Apart from acting,modelling and anchoring,I have learnt various dance forms.” Though relatively new to the Indian television industry,Prableen has been a popular face back home having worked in Punjabi movies like ‘Yaaran Naal Bahaaran’,‘Mehendi Vale Hath’ and umpteen Punjabi videos. She has also played ‘Kranti’ in a popular daily soap ‘Mohe Rang De’ that appeared on Colors. Talking about her hometown she gets nostalgic,“Punjab is Punjab. One doesn’t get that warmth here in Bombay as you get in Punjab. I really miss my hometown.”
