Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari today slammed the state government for questioning the contribution of Union ministers from Punjab to the state and said,leave aside special projects,this government is surviving only with central grants as it has virtually gone bankrupt.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday the Union Minister,who represents Ludhiana parliamentary constituency,asked the state government to spell out the unparalleled development of Punjab under the SAD-BJP government, as per its claims.
With regard to UPAs handling of the economy,Tewari said the state government need not worry as there are competent and capable people dealing with it. Moreover we are always debating and discussing it in Parliament and if you have courage and conviction hold a discussion in the Assembly on the state of economy in Punjab, he said challenging the state government.
Tewari pointed out that Ludhiana City Bus Service was started with 100 per cent central assistance under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission.
