Unable to cope with studies,he ran away from home

Sanjay,a Plus One student hailing from Dehradun, was found in the city on Tuesday. Police said failing to cope with the pressure of his studies,he had left home on Sunday.

“Sanjay is studying medical and he did not do well in exams. He left his home to go for tuitions but instead boarded a bus for Chandigarh where he reached on Monday. After spending a night on the bus stand there,he caught a bus for Ludhiana on Tuesday morning,” said Sarabha Nagar police station incharge Alam Vijay Singh.

In Ludhiana,Sanjay began roaming about and reached Medicity Hospital located on the Ferozepur road. “About 8.30 in the morning, nurses working at this hospital on night shift were going back home when they were approached by this boy who had become very tired and hungry. He told the nurses that he had been kidnapped but had managed to escape. The nurses took him inside the hospital and then informed the police.”

The Sarabha Nagar police then questioned Sanjay who told them the entire truth. Sanjay’s father is an ex- serviceman who is currently working with a multi-national company. Sanjay has two sisters and two brothers, and is studying at a school in Dehradun. When he did not return home, his family had registered a complaint with the Dehradun police.

“A police party from Dehradun along with the father of the boy had come to the city, and we have handed over the boy to them,” added Singh.
