Old students share memories at BCM alumni meet

Similar was the case of Jyoti Thaper who cleared class X from this school in 1990 when it used to be a high school. Thaper who had come with her husband Atul Thaper is now helping him in his hosiery business and was seen looking for her classmates. She was lucky enough when she found Vivek Kamal and Rajesh Sharma studying in the same section. Kamal is a businessman while Sharma works as a reader in the tehsildaar’s office.

About 300 families had come to attend the alumni meet on the campus of BCM Shastri Nagar School. Principal Paramjeet Kaur was seen greeting the old students. “It indeed is a matter of honour to see our students well settled in life,” she said.

Arvind Dhingra,president of BCM Alumni Association,who is working as a professor at Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College,was also seen interacting with the old students.

Star cast of Punjabi movie

THE star cast of upcoming Punjabi movie Mere Yaar Kamine came specially to promote their movie at this function. RJ Deepak Pakpak entertained the audience who has written dialogues of this movie. The movie is all about friendship and how life changes after getting married,he said. The movie is slated to be released on January 3. However,District Planning Board chairman Hira Singh Gabria,who was the chief guest,asked the Punjabi film directors to make Punjabi movies on some real issues,rather than making mere comedy movies. “Our rich heritage has vast subjects,” he said.
