Missing boy found dead,body fished out from well

A 12-year-old boy who had gone missing 12 days ago from Dhandari Khurd was found murdered on Monday.

The body of Akash was found in a mutilated condition from a well in a closed factory on the National Highway number 1. Police booked his cousin Chandan Kumar,20,for the murder. However,the police are still searching for three other accused,namely Amar Kumar and Ajay Kumar of Ishwar Colony and Mintoo Kumar from Gugri village of Rohtas district in Bihar.

After the investigations,it was revealed that the main accused,Chandan Kumar,had evil intentions for the victim’s sister. After Akash complained about this to his parents,Chandan made a plan to kill him.

While the police had registered an abduction case against Chandan on March 4,IPC sections for murder (302) and causing disappearance of evidence of offence (201) were added on Monday.

Salochna Devi,mother of the deceased,blamed the police for delayed action. She said the police were informed immediately but they took five days to register a case. She alleged that if the police had taken timely action,her son could have been saved.

However,Sahnewal SHO Kulwant Singh said the police had launched a manhunt for the accused soon after the case was registered. Eventually,the police arrested Chandan Kumar from Manesar in Gurgaon district in Haryana on Monday. Following the information provided by the accused,the police fished out the body from the well in the presence of executive magistrate Nayab Tehsildar Bhupinder Singh on Monday.

The accused disclosed that Akash was strangled to death and later the body was dumped in a well filled with garbage in factory.
