Minister Hira Singh Gabria launches police Sanjh centre

State Cabinet Minister Hira Singh Gabria today inaugurated the first Sanjh centre at Atam Nagar police station,which has been built at a cost of Rs 15 lakh.

State Cabinet Minister Hira Singh Gabria today inaugurated the first Sanjh centre at Atam Nagar police station,which has been built at a cost of Rs 15 lakh. In Punjab a total of 115 such centres have been opened today.

This centre will be providing various connected facilities related to the police department under one roof and separate windows have been formed for this.

Functions like passport,vehicle registration,FIR copy,cancellation of FIR,untraced police report,report of missing person,traffic challan and many other services will be provided at this centre.

Police Commissioner S S Chauhan stated that under the Right to Service Act,a time-frame has been kept for all services and seven more such centres will be opened in different police stations.

Deputy Police Commissioner Ashish Chaudhary and several other officers were present on the occasion.
