MC spends Rs 2 cr on sewer cleaning

To provide relief to the residents of more than two dozens colonies near Madhopuri,Chanda Cinema and adjoining areas,the Municipal Corporation has got the choked sewer lines cleaned with a total cost of Rs 2 crore.

To provide relief to the residents of more than two dozens colonies near Madhopuri,Chanda Cinema and adjoining areas,the Municipal Corporation has got the choked sewer lines cleaned with a total cost of Rs 2 crore.

A length of 4 km and 78 diameter sewer line from Chand cinema disposal and Gaushala disposal had been choked for many years. Now it has been cleaned for the first time using suction machines hired from the Delhi Municipal Corporation.

With this,in the coming monsoon,the colonies like Shivaji Nagar,Field Ganj,New Shivaji Nagar,Dhoka mohalla,Hargobind Nagar,Kidwai Nagar,Ram Nagar,Issa Nagar and many other areas would get a respite from waterlogging,said MC Commissioner M S Jaggi.
